Dr. Rynkiewicz's journey in podiatry began long before she joined the Rappahannock team. For a decade, between 2002 and 2012, she was not only the proprietor but also the leading practitioner at Achilles Foot Center, a private clinic she founded in Athens, Pennsylvania. This venture was a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to delivering specialized foot care.

Her leadership in the field was already evident in the years preceding her stint as a business owner. Dr. Rynkiewicz honed her expertise at Guthrie Health Care Systems in Sayre, Pennsylvania, where she served with distinction as the Chief of Podiatric Medicine for 17 years, from 1987 to 2002. In this pivotal role, she was responsible for setting standards of care, overseeing patient treatment protocols, and mentoring upcoming professionals in the podiatry field.

Dr. Rynkiewicz's foundational training in podiatric surgery was conducted at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, from 1984 to 1985. There, she focused on providing surgical care to high-risk patients with diabetic conditions and vascular compromises, studying under the tutelage of the esteemed Dr. Lee Sanders. Her proficiency in managing complex cases earned her board certification in forefoot surgery, validating her skills and expanding her surgical repertoire.

The pillars of Dr. Rynkiewicz's medical education were firmly established at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, previously known as the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, located in the historic city of Philadelphia. It was here that she delved deep into the intricacies of podiatric medicine, later complementing this with a robust undergraduate training at the Temple University School of Allied Health. During her time there, Dr. Rynkiewicz not only excelled in her studies but also obtained her board certification in medical technology alongside a Bachelor of Science degree, a testament to her commitment to comprehensive patient care.

Beyond her clinical prowess, Dr. Rynkiewicz is an esteemed member of several professional bodies. She is actively involved with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Virginia Podiatric Medical Association. Her standing as a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, with a specific certification in Foot Surgery, further underscores her dedication and acknowledged competence in her specialty.

Dr. Rynkiewicz’s professional interests extend into the realm of treating neuropathic conditions and peripheral neuropathy, where she integrates classical allopathic medical approaches with alternative and homeopathic treatments.
